Scientists of the Department are trained in leading research organizations. Professor Vasyl Petruk visited Jülich Research Centre (Germany) in 2013. Head of the Department, Vitalii Ishchenko, trained at Vienna University of Technology (Austria) in 2017-2018 and Technical University of Dresden (Germany) in 2013-2014. Also, British Council financed educational and research staying of Vitalii Ishchenko and Roman Petruk in Liverpool John Moores University (UK) in 2016.
In 2019-2020, the Department and TU Wien work on the international project "Hazardous household waste management in Austria and Ukraine: a case study of batteries".
The Department has also former and continuing students from other countries – Ecuador, Angola, Moldova, Turkmenistan.
Department of Ecology, Chemistry and Environmental Protection Technologies is interested in any cooperation with scientists from abroad to strengthen international scientific relations and increase scientific level.
